I once saved a mans life

I’m going to tell you a real life story that changed my life forever.

2012, I was a trainer at LA Fitness, and I was taking a short break between clients, as I was at the snack bar catching the Thursday night game- Raider vs. Chargers.

All of a sudden a coworker came to me and asked me to go with him to the locker room to help a members that pasted out.

I followed, and to my shock, there was a man fully purple color, and laid out on the floor. Other members just walking over him to get to their treadmill.

Another trainer and I immediately started performing CPR. Him on mouth to mouth, and me pumping the heart.

Right before the paramedics arrived, which seamed like forever, I started to cramp up in my hamstrings and triceps.

When the paramedics arrived, they yelled at the other trainer and said “get off his mouth, we don’t do that anymore.” And with a loud stern voice, told me “You…push harder and faster.”

I didn’t think I could go no more. I was cramping!!! But I would not give up.

After 4 EpiPen’s and 4 failed defibrillator attempts, this man would not come to.

It was at this point the paramedics switched me out and took the man to the hospital.

I was shook and confused at to what just happened. One minute I was waiting for a client to train, and the next I’m trying to keep a mans heart from stopping.

Several months later at LA Fitness while I was training a client, this man tapped me on the shoulder and said “thank you for saving my life.”

He looked completely different from when I first saw him. A totally different color.

We embraced and exchanged information.

I learned then that I was suppose to do this job, and that I was where I was suppose to be.

I still feel this way!!!

This man later told me that the last thing he remembered was going to the sauna, then to do cardio, and back to the sauna. He was trying to lose weight.

Please don’t think that sweating leads to fat loss.

A tip for you- don’t wear a sweater while working out. You can overheat your body and have a heart attack like this man.

You don’t have to go to extreme measures to lose weight. Please reach out if you have any questions about certain techniques you see on the internet.
