Amy has been a VIP member for 3 years now. She is amazing and everyone loves her here at Elite. She works full time but has mentioned she is getting ready to retire soon.
Well, last week Amy contacted us to tell us that she broke her fingers on her right hand. She now has to wear a splint holding her ring and middle finer together.
Amy told me that she was picking oranges off her tree with the long orange picker stick, when she suddenly fell. She thinks the stick fell on her finger and the impact fractured it.
The reason I am telling you this story is because her response to this is legendary. This amazing woman did not ask to pause her training, nor did not complain about the pain. She merely informed us so we can modify her workouts.
I am so impressed with Amy. She could have easily gave up and sat on the couch for the next couple months while her hand heals. But no, she continued without skipping a beat. She has other body parts that can move.
If you are suffering from an injury, please consider hiring an experienced personal training who can modify workouts for you. Its worth it.
You don’t have to wait till your 100% healthy before you start to workout with a trainer. Often times its best to hire a personal trainer when you are injured to help you set up your workout routine the right way. The trainer will keep you safe while you start on your goals.
